Secretariat
The professional administrative structure carrying out the administrative, technical, and operational activities of the Union.
The Secretariat is the professional organization responsible for conducting all administrative and technical office operations, document intake, and correspondence of the Union. It comprises the Secretary General, four Deputy Secretaries General, and an adequate number of administrative and technical staff led by the General Coordinator.
The Secretary General represents the Union as the administrative authority and executive officer, appointing Union personnel and dismissing them when necessary.
The General Coordinator, as the highest-ranking Union staff member, oversees daily office operations. Together with deputy coordinators, the General Coordinator provides professional support to the activities of Union bodies. The Secretariat conducts its operations at the Union Headquarters.
Composition
Consists of the Secretary General, four Deputy Secretaries General, the General Coordinator, and administrative and technical staff.
Scope of Duty
Executes all administrative, technical, correspondence, documentation, and office activities of the Union.
Secretary General
Represents the Union as the administrative authority and executive officer; responsible for the appointment and dismissal of staff.
General Coordinator
Manages office operations and provides professional coordination support to the activities of Union bodies.
Operational Headquarters
The Secretariat conducts its operations at the Union Headquarters.
